ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's soccer team battled one of the top teams in the MIAC but ultimately fell, 1-0 to Saint Benedict in a MIAC match Saturday afternoon at Macalester Stadium. The loss drops the Scots to 10-4-2 overall and 4-4-1 in conference play, while the Bennies improve to 8-3-3, 6-1-2 MIAC.
Saint Benedict scored the only goal they would need in the sixth minute, when Clara Noack headed home a corner kick from Grace Navara for a 1-0 lead. Macalester pushed for the equalizer but managed only one shot on goal by senior

Macalester plays its final regular-season home game on Wednesday, Oct. 27 against Saint Mary's University. The MIAC game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Macalester Stadium.
