ST. PAUL, Minn- Macalester College men's tennis had a strong showing to stay undefeated day as they beat Crown College 9-0 at home.
In doubles play, No. 1 senior
Michael Lockhart (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa East) and No. 2 junior
Aidan Toner-Rodgers (Sebastopol, Calif./Analy) defeated their opponents 8-1. No. 1 sophomore
George Steinke (Swathmore, PA./Strath Haven) and No. 2 sophomore
Alexander Hamann (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln) walked away from the day with an 8-0 win over their opponents. No. 1 senior
Alessandro Mauceri (New Paltz, N.Y./ New Paltz Central) and No. 2 first year
Sawyer Michaelson (Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest) took an 8-0 win to surpass their opponents.
In singles, Macalester College didn't allow more than a single point and no match went longer than two sets. The Scots took care of business as positions 1-6 all defeated their opponents.
The Scots will be back in action on Friday, February 21 at 7 p.m. as they take on St. Mary's University to kick of conference play.
