NORTHFIELD, Minn.- The Macalester men's tennis team suffered their first conference loss today to Carleton College, 6-3.

In singles, first year Jeffrey Jorgensen (Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo-Atherton) won the first set 6-4 and then won the match after his opponent withdrew. Jorgensen and first year Alexander Poland (Madison, Wis./Madison West) continued to roll in doubles, now 5-1 on the year, and won 8-7.

Macalester will play next Monday, Apr. 15, against Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn.
