HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Macalester women's tennis won 9-0 over Messiah College today. The Scots went 3-1 during their spring trip.

No. 1 singles sophomore Laurel Hickey (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) beat her opponent 6-4, 6-0 and No. 2 senior sophomore Natali Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) won 6-1, 6-2.

Senior Della Brown (Chicago, Ill./Univ. Of Chicago Laboratory School) also won in straight sets as well as sophomore Emma Baker ( Bentonville, Ark./Bentonville), 6-0, 6-1, and junior Camilla Bendetti (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr School), 6-1,6-0.

The Scots swept Messiah College in doubles.

Macalester returns to conference play Friday, Apr. 5, against Carleton College in Northfield, Minn.
