ST. PETER, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team dropped a MIAC match on the road to Gustavus Adolphus in three sets Wednesday night at Gus Young Court. The Scots, who lost by the scores of 25-7, 25-19, 25-15, are now 4-20 overall and 0-10 in the conference. The Gusties improve to 13-14, 6-4 MIAC.
Junior middle hitter
Sofia Parmelee (Tenafly, N.J./Tenafly) and
Zoe Lowe (Longmont, Colo./Longmont) led Macalester with five kills apiece. First year outside hitter
Eliza King (Novato, Calif./San Marin) tallied 11 digs, while sophomore
Claire Loomans (Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest) delivered 13 assists. St. Olaf's Kate Holtan led all players with 16 kills.
The Scots conclude the 2019 season on Saturday, Nov. 2 with a match at Hamline. The MIAC contest begins at 3:00 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
