ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 9-0 loss to sixth-ranked Gustavus Adolphus Friday afternoon at Hayden Tennis Courts. The Scots, who already clinched a spot in the MIAC Playoffs, are now 9-7 overall and 6-3 in the conference. The Gusties improve to 18-8, 6-0 MIAC.

Peter Willenborg (Storrs, Conn./E.O. Smith) led for most of their match but fell to Xavier Sanga and Gabe Steinwand, 8-4.
The Scots will prepare for a first-round dual in the MIAC Playoffs as the fourth seed against fifth-seeded Concordia College. The dual will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at Hayden Tennis Courts. The start time has yet to be determined.
