WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn.– The Macalester College women's tennis team beat the College of Saint Benedict 6-3 today to continue their MIAC win streak to three matches. The Scots are now 4-8.
Five of the six Scots won in singles play, with No.1
Laurel Hickey (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) defeating Tessa Rahrick 6-2, 6-3. No. 3 singles
Claire Buehler (Houston,Texas/ Awty International School) beat Ellen Stensrud 6-4, 6-3 . No.4
Della Brown (Chicago, Ill./Univ. of Chicago Laboratory School), No.5
Natali Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and No. 6
Megan O'Herin (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northview) also won in straight sets.
In doubles, the Scot's
Laurel Hickey (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and Soarajja won 8-6 and O'Herin and
Emma Baker (Bentonville, Ark./Bentonville) won 8-4.
The Scots return to action Thur., April 26 against St. Catherine University at 5:30.
