ST. PAUL, Minn.- The Macalester College women's soccer team tied St. Olaf College today 0-0 in double overtime. The scoreless deadlock, against the Oles who are third in the MIAC, is the Scots third tie in the conference.

The Oles led the Scots in shots 12-4, but each team only had four shots on goal. In her third game for the Scots sophomore keeper Kayla Togneri (Ventura, Calif./Ventura) had her season high of four saves.

Macalester was led in shots by sophomore Kate Bond (St. Paul, Minn./ St.Paul Academy) who had two shots, both on goal. Bond had the closest chance to break the 0-0 tie with a shot saved by the Oles keeper with two minutes left to go in the second overtime. But neither team could capitalize on an offensive moment and the game ended in a tie.

The Scots go on the road to Augsburg University on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Minneapolis, Minn.
