GALESBUG, Ill – Macalester split their final two games in their invitational at Knox College. The Scots are now 5-9.
The Scots lost their first match against the University of Dubuque 3-0. The Scots offense was led by senior
Clara Baumann (Wausau, Wis./Wausau East) with five kills and 12 digs. Alongside Baumann, Macalester's defense was helped by first year
Abrielle Dillon (Brown Deer, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) with 10 digs and
Deborah Pickford (Denver, Colo./East) who tallied 9 digs. Â

In their second match the Scots faced Monmouth College and won 3-1, winning the first set 25-17.
India Medaris (Napa, Calif./Justin Siena) tallied 24 kills and Bauman tallied 13 kills and had 5 blocks. Dillon led the scots in digs with 22. The Scots defense was bolstered by Pickford and Baumann, who had 16 digs and 14 digs respectfully. After losing the second set to Monmouth College, the Scots came back to win the next two sets 25-21 and 25 19.
India Medaris was voted to the Knox College Invitational All-Tournament team.
Next up for Macalester begins MIAC play against Concordia College (Minn.) on Wednesday Sept. 29 at 7:00 a.m. in St, Paul, Minn.
