Macalester held Northland to 5-of-22 shooting from the field in the first half to take a 28-17 halftime lead. Gregorich scored 14 points to lead all players through the first two quarters.

The Scots put the game out of reach with a 16-2 run to open the third quarter. Gregorich hit two more three-pointers and had 10 points in the run, which gave Macalester a 44-19 lead midway through the third quarter. A three by senior guard Lauren Clamage (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest Acad.) put the Scots up by 28 for their largest lead of the game before taking a 54-27 advantage at the end of three. The LumberJills outscored Macalester, 29-12 in the final quarter and closed out the game with a 14-0 run, but it did not affect the final outcome as the Scots closed out the win, 66-56.

Macalester dominated the glass, earning a 50-26 rebounding edge for the game while limiting Northland to 31.4 percent shooting. Gregorich surpassed her career high with 24 points while shooting 9-of-15 from the field, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.
