NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College women's soccer team earned its first MIAC victory of the season with a 1-0 win at St. Olaf Saturday afternoon. The Scots improve to 5-2-3 overall and 1-2-2 in conference play with the victory, while the Oles drop to 6-3, 3-2 MIAC.
Macalester scored the only goal they would need just 1:58 into the game. Junior forward
Jaime Hasama (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif./Palos Verdes Peninsula) found the net off an assist from senior forward
Kara Komoto (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake). The win marked the second consecutive game in which Hasama has scored a goal.

Rachel Wilson-King (Tucson, Ariz./St. Gregory) played the first half and made four saves. Junior goalkeeper
Emma Toomer (Leesburg, VA./Loudoun County) played the second half in goal and had three saves. Julie Johnson recorded four saves for St. Olaf, as the Scots held a 10-8 advantage in shots for the game.
Macalester returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 with another MIAC battle against 14th-ranked St. Thomas. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Macalester Stadium.
