On TapThe Macalester College volleyball team returns home after being on the road for four straight matches to take on Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) foes Hamline University and Gustavus Adolphus. The Scots will host Hamline tonight at 7 p.m. in the Leonard Center and will match-up against Gustavus on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. for the annual Dig Pink match.

Macalester's most recent match-up with Gustavus came on Sept. 28 of last season as the Scots suffered a four-set loss to the Gusties.

Last WeekMacalester traveled to the University of Northwestern on Saturday for a three-team triangular alongside Bethany Lutheran and Northwestern. The Scots first matched up against Bethany Lutheran, defeating the Vikings 3-1 (25-14, 25-15, 16-25 and 25-20). The Scots took on Northwestern in their second contest of the day and fell in three sets.

Dig Pink Friday, Oct. 10 vs. Gustavus will serve as the 2014 Dig Pink match hosted by the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). This year marks SAAC's ninth straight year of hosting the Dig Pink and Kick Cancer events. Friday will also serve as Macalester volleyball's Alumni Day and Senior Night. Head coach
Annie Doman will host a 30-minute pre-match talk. Coach Doman will introduce the team, her coaching philosophy, strategies and match plan, giving you a behind the scenes glimpse at what makes Mac VB tick. The program begins at 6 p.m. in the Leonard Center's Hall of Fame room. RSVP is required (
