Box Score After dropping the first and second sets, the Scots came back strong only to lose a 3-1 decision at Minnesota Morris.  Set scores, in favor of UMM, were 25-18, 25-13, 19-25 and 25-23.  The Scots are now 2-3 on the season, with all five of their matches being against Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) teams.

Macalester hit at a .228 clip and were led by Kasey McMaster (So., Oak Ridge, Tenn. ) with 31 assists and Cora Trout (So., Columbia, Mo. / Rock Bridge) with 24 digs.  The attack was led by Laura Avena (Sr., Cesis, Latvia / Riga State Gymnasium No. 1) and Brooke Hunter (Fy., Stillwater, Minn.).  Avena paced the Scots with 12 kills to go along with eight digs, while Hunter contributed 10 kills.

Mac plays host Wednesday (Sept. 4) to Crown (another UMAC team) at 7:30 p.m.  The Scots are back in action this weekend when they host the Macalester Invitational at the Leonard Center Friday and Saturday (Sept. 6-7).  Macalester plays Friday against Northland and UW-Superior and Saturday against UM-Morris and UW-Stout.
