Macalester hosted Augsburg, the No. 23-ranked team in the NCAA Division III, and was swept by scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-15 on Senior Day at the Leonard Center.  The Auggies hit .391 to boost their record to 26-3 overall and 9-1 in the MIAC.  Macalester falls to 13-13 on the season, 4-6 in MIAC play.

Mac's top hitter for the match was Laura Avena (Sr., Cesis, Latvia / Riga State Gymnasium No. 1) with 10 kills to go along with eight digs.  Kasey McMaster (So., Oak Ridge, Tenn.) handed out 16 set assists and Cora Trout chipped in with seven digs.

Augsburg was led by Colleen Ourada with 14 kills.

The Scots close out the 2013 campaign Tuesday (Oct. 29) when they host St. Benedict at 7 p.m.
