Playings its final home match of the season, Macalester fell to Luther (Ia.) 2-0 on a cold night in St. Paul. The Scots were held off the scoreboard for the fourth straight game and drops to 6-8-2 on the season. Luther improves to 11-5.
Luther went up 1-0 in the first half when Myles Norville scored the first of his two goals on the match at 30:15. Norville scored again at 63:26 to put the home team in a two-goal deficit.
The Norse out-shot Mac 10-7.
"They scored on two set pieces and that did us in, but other than that, I thought we played pretty well," reported Mac Head Coach
Gregg Olson.
The Scots play Tuesday (Oct. 29) at Concordia-Moorhead and close out the regular season next Saturday (Nov. 2) at St. Mary's.
