Nebraska Wesleyan struck quickly with a goal in the seventh minute and went on to topple Macalester 3-1 in Decorah, Iowa.

The Scots avoided the shutout when Devin Palmer (So., Helena, Mont. / Capital) scored his first Macalester goal in the 62nd minute on a Will Mackaman (Jr., Des Moines, Ia. / Roosevelt) assist.

Macalester had a 10-9 lead over the Prairie Wolves in shots on net and 11-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Scots return to the pitch tomorrow when they take on Luther.  The Norse were 17-3-3 last year and 2-0-2 so far this season.
