Macalester jumped out to a 42-0 halftime lead and went on to roll over Trinity Bible (N.D.) in St. Paul.  The Scots collected 529 yards in offense and punted just once.  Zandy Stowell (Fy., Chippewa Falls, Wis.) rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns, and Mike Adams (Sr., Chippewa Falls, Wis.) had a school-record 95-yard punt return and 74-yard scoring dash in the first quarter.

The Scots, who came within four points of matching a school record for points in a game, received Stowell touchdown runs from one, 31 and 11 yards away, and scoring runs from T. Joe Loiselle (Sr., Chippewa Falls, Wis.) from five and 12 yards out, to go along with Adams' pair of breakaways.  The three Chippewa Falls standouts, all of whom wore jersey No. 2 at CFHS, combined for seven of Mac's eight touchdowns.

Mac snaps a three-game skid and improves to 4-3 on the season with three games to go.  The Lions are now 3-5.  Macalester averaged 9.4 yards per snap and six scoring drives were of five plays or less.

The defense was also dominant and posts its first shutout of the year.  Through seven games, Macalester is allowing only 14.4 points and 264.1 yards per contest.  The Scots intercepted a pair of passes, with Jole Miller (So., Missouri Valley, Ia.) returning his third of the year 38 yards and Nate Dwyer (Jr., New Hope, Minn. / West Lutheran) returning his 25 yards.  Spencer Robinson (Sr., Chattaroy, Wash. / Riverside) and Nolan Kriegel (Jr., Danburg, Wis. / Webster) made nine tackles apiece and four Scots collected QB sacks.  Macalester finished with 10 tackles for loss of yardage.

Quarterback Clark Bledsoe (Sr., Jacksonville, Fla. / Episcopal) went 12-for-17 passing for 226 yards through two quarters of action and started the scoring with a short TD pass to Riley Koval (Sr., Mount Horeb, Wis.), who pulled in six receptions for 111 yards, including a 49-yard gain.

Adams' 95-yard punt return breaks the school record of 88 yards set 10 years ago by Macalester defensive coordinator Marshall Mullenbach.

The Scots travel to North Dakota next Saturday (Oct. 27) to take on Mayville State.
