Macalester  vs. Carleton statistics

The Scots were looking for their first MIAC win of the season, but were swept 3-0 by Carleton Wednesday night in Northfield.  Game scores were 25-10, 25-17 and 25-13 as Macalester drops to 5-14 on the season (0-5 in the conference).

Carleton attacked at a .260 rate and improves to 12-7 overall, 2-3 in the MIAC.  The Knights avenge a 3-0 defeat to Macalester in last year's MIAC match between these two schools.

Taylor Tinkham (Sr., St. Louis Park, Minn.) led the way at the net for the Scots with 11 kills on a .304 hitting percentage, while Glasha Marcon (Jr., Richmond, Calif. / Albany) led the defensive effort with 14 digs.  Danielle Dweck (Sr., Sea Cliff, N.Y. / North Shore) handed out 21 assists.

Jesse Youso led the Knights with seven kills and Erin Anderson had 16 digs.

Macalester 's next two matches are against highly-ranked teams.  The Scots play Friday (Oct. 7) at No. 12 St. Thomas and are home next Wednesday (Oct. 12) against No. 10 Concordia-Moorhead.
