Box Score Macalester vs. Wisconsin-River Falls statistics
Host Wisconsin-River Falls shot 63% in the opening half to go up 43-17 at the intermission, and went on to gain a 72-53 win over the Scots in Macalester's final non-conference game of the season. For the game, the Falcons shot 54% from the field.
Holly Schiedermayer (Jr., Waupaca, Wis.) went 4-for-6 from the floor and paced the Scots with 11 points. Three teammates added eight points apiece:
Jessica Rene (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis. / Memorial),
Majra Mucic (Sr., Zenica, Bosnia / St. Louis Park – Minn.) and
Audrey Mills (Jr., Forest Lake, Minn.).
The Falcons went 5-for-8 from behind the three-point line, compared to 3-for-16 for the Scots. Miranda Dohrn paced UWRF with 14 points and Lauren Pellowski pulled down nine boards.
River Falls improves to 3-1 on the young season, while Macalester is 0-3.
From here on out, it's all MIAC games for the Scots, starting with the team's home-opener next Wednesday (Dec. 1) against St. Thomas.
