Macalester vs. Hamline statistics

Macalester clinched its first MIAC men's soccer championship since 2005 – and 10th conference title overall – as Ryan Marshall (Jr., Plymouth, Minn. / Robbinsdale Armstrong) scored in the 18th minute and that held up for a 1-0 win Friday night at home over Hamline. The Scots wrap up the regular-season at 14-3-1 overall and 8-2 in the conference.

The Scots will be the No. 1 seed in next week's four-team MIAC playoffs and will host a semi-final game Tuesday (Nov. 2) at 6 p.m. The other three MIAC playoff teams will be Augsburg, Carleton and Concordia, with the final seedings to be determined after tomorrow's matches. Augsburg clinched a spot by beating Gustavus 1-0 tonight in Minneapolis.  MIAC playoff website

Mac's semi-final match Tuesday will start at 6 p.m. The team's opponents will be determined after tomorrow afternoon's Carleton vs. St. Olaf and Concordia vs. St. John's matches.  UPDATE: Macalester will host.
