Macalester vs. Luther statistics

Matt Weyer (Fy., Cedarburg, Wis.) turned away five Luther shots on goal in his first collegiate start in goal to lead Macalester to a 2-0 victory over the Norse in Decorah, Iowa. Macalester's second straight win brings the Scots to 6-3-1 on the season. Luther goes down to 3-4-1.

Reid Usedom (Fy., Asheville, N.C. / A.C. Reynolds) scored early in the game and Eric Tettegah (So., Brooklyn Park, Minn. / Breck School) put the finishing touches on the triumph with a goal late in the match to make it 2-0. Usedom's score, his second of the campaign, was assisted by Tettegah in the 12th minute. Tettegah also netted his second of the year in the 79th minute on a Jake Rocke (Jr., Lincoln, Neb. / East) assist.

Weyer's performance in net in his debut helped the Scots overcome a 14-9 Luther advantage in shots and 7-4 LC margin in corner kicks.

Macalester travels to Duluth on Wednesday (Oct. 1) to take on St. Scholastica.
