Macalester vs. Hamline statistics

Macalester topped Snelling Ave. rival Hamline for the first time since 2000, pulling away late for a 72-62 triumph at the Leonard Center. Down by a point at 53-52 in this very closely-played game, The Scots staged a decisive 14-3 run which put the hosts up 66-56 with 1:50 to play. Prior to Mac's game-winning rally, the lead in the game was never greater than six points for either team.

Snapping a 13-game losing streak to Hamline, the Scots improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the MIAC. The Pipers drop to 4-2 overall, 2-2 in league play. This is Macalester first 4-1 or better start since beginning 4-1 in 1995-96.

Trina PaStarr (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn. / Southwest) and Ann Baltzer (Jr., Bismarck, N.D.) posted double-doubles to pace the Scots. PaStarr had 18 points and 13 rebounds to go along with five of her team's 10 blocked shots, while Baltzer added 16 points and 10 boards.
