St. Scholastica tops Scots in Duluth

Macalester vs. St. Scholastica statistics

Macalester made the trip to Duluth looking for its third straight win, but St. Scholastica controlled the attack in a 3-0 non-conference triumph over the Scots. This was the third win of the year for the Saints over an MIAC team as CSS moves up to 7-3. The Scots are now 6-4-1 on the season.

St. Scholastica out-shot Mac 15-4 and had a very commanding 12-1 lead in shots on goal, forcing goalkeeper Mark Mullaney (So., Plymouth, Minn. / Robbinsdale Armstrong) to make a season-high eight saves.

Toby Peter had two goals and an assist to lead the way for the Saints. CSS had lost the previous four meetings to Macalester by a combined score of 13-1.

The Scots are 2-1-1 in the MIAC and return to league play Saturday (Oct. 4) against St. John's in Collegeville. They play MIAC home matches next week with Concordia and St. Mary's.
