Macalester vs. St. Catherine stats & play-by-play
Trina PaStarr (So., Minneapolis, Minn. / Southwest) matched a career-high with 27 points and Macalester piled up its highest point total since netting 88 early in the 2000-01 season to beat St. Catherine 87-76 at CSC's Butler Center.

The Scots had three players with at least 19 points and all three posted their Macalester career-bests. In addition to getting 27 from PaStarr, the Scots received 22 points and 10 rebounds from Alyssa Lunde (So., Rochester, Minn. / Mayo), and 19 points and nine boards from Majra Mucic (Fy., St. Louis Park, Minn.), who was making her first career start.
Lunde was a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line to lead Macalester to a 27-for-33 team effort from the charity stripe (82%). PaStarr added four blocked shots and seven rebounds, while Mucic had four assists and three steals.
Danielle Johnson (So., DeForest, Wis. / Madison Edgewood) was the fourth Scot to reach double figures, finishing with 13 points to go along with five assists. Eartha Bell (So., Minneapolis, Minn. / Breck) led the defensive charge with five steals while also handing out six assists.
Rachel Berglund paced CSC with 27 points.
Just a handful of points separated these two teams throughout the first half, which featured eight ties and ended with Macalester on top 37-35. The Scots shot 54% and scored 50 points in the second half as PaStarr led the way with 19 points.
Macalester led by just a single point at 76-75 with 2:54 to play and then went on to out-score St. Catherine 11-1 the rest of the way to clinch the victory.
The Scots return to action Wednesday (Jan. 30) at St. Mary's.
