Nathan Young (So., Denver, Colo. / Littleton) broke his own school record in three events to lead the way for the Macalester men at the MIAC swimming & diving championships at the University of Minnesota. On the first day of this three-day event in Minneapolis, Young started off his successful week by placing fourth in the finals of the 50-yard freestyle in 21.11. He then added second-place swims in the two backstroke races Friday and Saturday. Young was second in the 100-yard backstroke with an NCAA Division III automatic qualifying time of 50.31. He closed out his meet with another runner-up effort swim in the 200 back with a 1:51.18 clocking.
