Evan Mitchell (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn. / South) placed first in the javelin throw at the MIAC championships Friday and Saturday (May 9-10) and also added a sixth-place finish in the hammer throw. Mitchell claimed his third straight MIAC javelin championship when he registered a toss of 194-0 (59.13m) on his first attempt of his preliminary flight, and that mark held on to win by an easy 19 feet. His sixth-place effort in the hammer throw was measured at 134-11 (47.22m).
