Shannon Rene (Sr., Eau Claire, Wis. / Memorial) led a robust Macalester defensive effort as the Scots pressed their way past Northwestern College 63-50 in Roseville. Rene came up with a career-high seven steals to lead the Macalester defense, and also had eight rebounds and a blocked shot while turning the ball over just twice. Macalester is 2-1 on the young season while forcing 24 turnovers per game.
