The Macalester Co-Athletes of the Week are twin sisters Jessica Rene (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis. / Memorial) and Shannon Rene (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis. / Memorial).
Jessica Rene pumped in 16 points in Macalester’s 59-47 upset over Gustavus and also in Macalester’s 62-52 victory over St. Olaf and in Mac’s three games last week went 7-for-15 from three-point range, 13-for-14 from the free throw line, and also had seven assists and four steals. Rene is averaging 13.0 points per game and shooting 47% on three-pointers over the team’s past 11 games. She ranks fourth in the MIAC in free throw shooting and fifth in three-point accuracy.
