One week after being selected as MIAC player of the week, center Ann Baltzer (Sr., Bismarck, N.D.) is the Mac Athlete of the Week after averaging 16.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in a pair of conference tilts. Baltzer led Macalester to a 60-47 win over Bethel by gong 9-for-15 from the field and finishing with 20 points, 12 boards and three assists. She added 13 points and eight rebounds in a 75-65 defeat to league power St. Benedict. Baltzer has 942 career points, just one short of moving into the top ten on Mac’s all-time scoring list.
