Michael Hall came to Macalester as an assistant athletic trainer in 2015. He works in a split position with Allina Health Orthopedics, with most of his hours spent at Macalester. His primary sport coverages include women's soccer, men's basketball and softball. Prior to coming to Macalester, he spent a year working as an assistant athletic trainer at Bemidji State University, where he worked directly with the volleyball and track and field teams and assisted with prevention, care and rehabilitation for all other student-athletes.
A Minnesota native and 2014 graduate of St. Cloud State University, Hall obtained his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2014. He had an opportunity to work with a variety of sports during his time at St. Cloud including women’s basketball, baseball, men’s hockey, football and softball. Hall has been a NATA certified athletic trainer since 2014.
During the summer of 2013, Hall had the opportunity to work as an intern athletic trainer for the St. Cloud Rox, a collegiate summer baseball team in the Northwoods League. In this position, he provided medical coverage for collegiate athletes from various schools around the country during home and road games.
Hall also had the opportunity to assist with off season workouts for the Minnesota Vikings during the spring of 2014.
