Macalester College Athletics

Liz Solarz joined the Macalester athletics staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August of 2021. She is contracted through Allina Health Orthopedics to cover athletics at Macalester in addition to Allina Health orthopedic clinics. Prior to Macalester, Liz had worked at Gustavus as an intern assistant athletic trainer with the primary responsibility of men’s and women’s tennis.
 
Liz is a graduate of St. Cloud State University, earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training in 2020. While at SCSU, she worked with hockey, baseball, track and field, and Saint John’s University (MIAC) football. She also served as one of the two Minnesota representatives on the GLATA Student Committee for two years. She has been a NATA member since 2018.
 
Liz is from Holdingford, Minn., and currently resides in St. Paul. Her primary sport coverage at Macalester includes volleyball, men's and women's swim and dive, and baseball. Besides her time at Allina and Macalester, she is also an athletic trainer for Delta Airlines at MSP Airport.
