Macalester College Athletics

Lauren Witte joined the Macalester College women’s soccer program as an assistant coach prior to the 2026 season. Witte recently served as the first assistant coach at St. Catherine University, where she helped lead the Wildcats to continued success on the field. During her time at St. Kate’s, the Wildcats captured multiple MIAC Championships and made consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.

A 2023 graduate of St. Catherine University, Witte earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. She was a standout four-year player for the Wildcats, becoming one of just 18 MIAC Women’s Soccer players to earn All-Conference First Team honors in four consecutive seasons. She was also a three-time All-Region selection and served as team captain during two MIAC Championship seasons. Witte finished her collegiate career with 40 goals and 16 assists.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Witte has coached club soccer with Lakeville Soccer Club and operates her own private soccer training business, G.R.I.T. Private Training LLC, where she focuses on technical development, speed and conditioning, and player development.

Witte grew up playing competitive club soccer with Minnesota Thunder Academy, where she competed in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). She holds a U.S. Soccer Federation C License and is passionate about helping players develop both on and off the field.
