Jenae Alderson joined the Macalester volleyball coaching staff as a volunteer coach in June of 2026. Alderson has coached at various volleyball clubs in the Twin Cities area since concluding her playing career at Providence College, where she was a four-year starter and team captain. While at Providence, Alderson ranked among the Friars’ top three in kills in each of her final three seasons, and led her team in blocks as a senior.
A native of Champlin Park, Minn., Alderson was All-State and All-Metro as a senior at Champlin Park High School. After graduating from Providence in 2020 with a degree in Sports Media, she returned to Minnesota and coached at Mizuno Northern Lights and for North Country Region Volleyball Association. Alderson currently works at the University of Minnesota on the athletics events staff and is a yoga instructor at Yoga Sanctuary.
