Ana Thompson ‘20 joined the Macalester swimming coaching staff as a volunteer coach in the fall of 2023. She is a 2020 graduate of Macalester College where she majored in Neuroscience with a concentration in Public Health. During her swimming career, Thompson was captain of the team, an All-MIAC swimmer, and competed primarily in the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 IM. She's looking forward to joining the team and returning to the sport in a coaching capacity.
Thompson works at General Mills in Brand Marketing where she's worked on the Pillsbury brand and now works on Annie's. Her favorite part of her job is getting to taste new products. She currently lives in Uptown with her partner Mike Babb, who is an assistant coach on the Macalester men's basketball team. She and Mike recently bought a house, so much of their free time consists of DIY house projects.
