Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester's sense of community and emphasis on global responsibility led me to come here. Everyone I met who attended Macalester or worked here was excited and passionate and down to earth. I chose Macalester because I think it creates an environment where people can really grow and be challenged to be their best self.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My time at Macalester so far has been really rewarding. I've enjoyed meeting people from far and near and learning about their unique experiences and perspectives. It's really cool to be surrounded by a community of fun-loving and determined students who are all passionate about their interests and stand up for what they believe in.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Participating in athletics at Mac has taught me how to truly enjoy hard work. While being a student-athlete is a huge commitment, I wouldn't have it any other because of the amazing women I get to share laughs with every single day. I have learned so much about myself and continue to gain confidence from my participation as a student-athlete at Mac.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Being part of Mac's cross country and track & field teams has prepared me for life after graduation in more ways than I probably give it credit for. It has taught me how to set goals, stay focused, and be determined. It has shown me how to maintain a balanced life and stay healthy and happy. Most importantly, I'm surrounded by the strongest, most loving people from teammates to coaches who have supported me while at Mac and will continue to do so, which makes it all worthwhile.
