Why did you choose to attend Macalester?

Macalester is full of good vibes and positive energy. During my first visit, I felt right at home with all the accepting and welcoming students. I wanted a to be a part of a small, progressive community within a big city which fostered a sense of growth, diversity, and a passion for learning. Mac definitely is the place for me! Also, free bagpipe lessons were pretty enticing.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?

Macalester has been a very supportive community for me. My teammates are incredible human beings who have supported me so much during difficult times along with the whole Macalester community. Being at a small school means that your professors, coaches, and peers really notice and care about you, which I appreciate a lot. I also really dig the learning environment at Macalester because it is academically challenging and I have the opportunity to be around people who love to learn as much as I do.
