Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
When I came to visit, the Macalester community was very welcoming and the teammates that I would be playing with seemed authentic and genuine. I loved the idea of being surrounded by interesting characters.
What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
I've been able to take a variety of classes to switch my major and find something I've been interested in. Macalester has an academic environment that has pushed me to test different areas of study.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
I have become much more aware and deliberate and forward thinking whether it is preparing for the season, setting attainable and realistic goals, or preparing myself for school assignments and internships. The balance between time spent on athletic programs and academics has motivated me to be more prepared and composed overall.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
I have been able to connect to alumni the have been a part of the Athletic community at Mac. It has been helpful and beneficial to meet grads that are similar to myself and invested in the Athletic community after they graduate.
