Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
The school fit all my criteria in terms of academics, as most small liberal arts schools do. I mostly chose it because I felt I would have a place here, the people were open and accepting and seemed to share similar ideals as me. Location-wise it was the perfect combination of rural and urban, providing the natural feeling I have never experienced having grown up in New York City, yet not being in the middle of nowhere.
