In addition to teaching managerial accounting and financial accounting at Macalester, Jeff Evans has worked on investment projects involving teak plantations in Panama, almonds and eucalyptus trees in Australia, dairy farming in New Zealand and micro-finance in Africa. One of the more fascinating independent study projects he supervised recently was the development of a business plan for a rock band. Mr. Evans is also treasurer of Northern Lights, an arts organization, and serves on the board of Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness and the Friends of the Mississippi River.
