2018-19
Named to the MIAC All-Academic team… Tallied 21 top-10 finishes on the year… Took eighth at the MIAC Championships in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:19.37… Won in the 200 Fly on three different occasions, at the Roger Ahlman Invite (Nov. 10), against Hamline and St. Olaf (Jan. 19), and against Grinnell (Jan. 26)… Added two additional first-place finishes against St. Norbert on Nov. 3, winning the 500 Free in a career-best 5:55.82 and the 100 Fly with a season-best 1:05.22… Brought home three top-10 finishes at the Grace Goblirsch Invitational on Nov. 17 and the Tomcat Invite on Nov. 30… Recorded a personal-best time (12:07.00) and a third place finish in the 1000 Free against Hamline and St. Olaf on Jan. 19.
2017-18
Compiled 20 top-10 finishes throughout her first season… Brought home an eighth-place finish at the MIAC Championships in the 200 Fly in February, finishing in 2:18.81… Won the 200 Fly at the Grace Goblirsch Invitational with a time of 2:22.37… Started the year with a fourth-place finish in the 100 Fly (1:05.68) at the Macalester Pentathlon on Oct. 13… Added three top-10 finishes at the Hamline Invitational on Nov. 4… Took second in 200 Fly at the Roger Ahlman Invitational on Nov. 11, finishing in 2:24.13… Recorded fifth-place finishes in the 100 and 200 Fly at the St. Thomas Invite on Jan. 13… Logged three top-10 finishes against St. Kate’s on Jan. 25.
Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I really liked the atmosphere of the school and I felt like I fit in.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student-athlete has taught me to work hard at something I am passionate about while staying focused on my goals in every aspect of my life.
