Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Mac first off because it chose me. I was drawn to the core ideas of Mac, those being internationalism, multiculturalism, community, and service, because I had always been interested in life beyond my hometown. Here the academics are rigorous and I know that the challenge will just prepare me for other challenges later in life. Plus, the community, both people surrounding Mac and people studying at the school, are things I am glad to be apart of as well as serve. I suppose here at Mac I feel I fit in.
