Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Macalester for its quirkiness and atmosphere of tolerance. I vividly remember going into cafe mac as a PF (potential freshman) and seeing a girl in a tutu, and no one gave her a second glance. It was awesome. Also, I wanted to build a snowman.
What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
It's been a great opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and be exposed to a way of thinking that I never would have encountered otherwise.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
It's made me much more disciplined and responsible, and therefore more productive. It's also increased the size of my stomach (and appetite) about three-fold, which is kind of a bummer when I'm buying groceries.
