Dunn begins his fifth year as the Macalester diving coach. During his time at Macalester, Dunn coached Renee Jordan to multiple MIAC individual titles, Diver-of-the-Year and All-America honors. He helped her become national champion on the 3-meter board in 2014.
Before joining the Macalester staff, Dunn spent time coaching at the high school level for several seasons. During that time he coached a Minnesota State Class AA champion and was named Section 1 AA Diving Coach of the year for Lakeville High School (boy's season) in 2006 and Section 5AA Diving Coach of the year for Minneapolis South (girl's season) in 2006.
Dunn graduated in 2002 from St. Olaf College, where he was a member of the St. Olaf swimming and diving team. He was all-conference in 2002 as well as earning All-America honors on the 1-meter at the national championships in his senior season.
