Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Macalester because I knew that it would make me grow and develop in so many different ways. I think that the intimate class size will make me learn so much more than being taught in huge lecture halls. Also the diversity at Mac is fantastic, and I think it is important to to learn in an environment with people who have many different perspectives. I loved how friendly people were when I visited and I wanted to explore St. Paul and be in a new city. The international focus at Mac really attracted me to the school, and I am excited to spend my next 4 years here!
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
My experience as a student and athlete at Macalester has prepared me to succeed in life after graduation. Throughout my four years in the classroom and on the field I have enhanced my team-building skills and have learned the balance of compromise and efficiency. I have learned how to budget my time, meet deadlines and the importance of prioritization. I will continue to alternate being a leader and an observer and am looking forward to putting all my hard work in college to good use after graduation.
