Biography
Why I chose Macalester:
I wanted to go to a school where I could continue with all of my interests. I didn't want to have to pick and choose. The academically rigorous environment at Macalester also drew me, as did the size--most of my family attended small, private, liberal arts colleges like Macalester. Macalester allows me to continue with diverse activities instead of specializing.
What Macalester has meant to me:
My experience at Macalester has pushed me out of my comfort zone, which was something I wanted when I decided to come here. I see it as the foundation for me to have completely unique experiences in the future rather than being tied down by norms.
