Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester gives me the opportunity to play competitive soccer in addition to learning in a highly rigorous and diverse environment. With Macalester's location in the vibrant Twin Cities, I am exposed to amazing internships and cultural experiences.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
I continue to learn the invaluable benefits of teamwork and commitment to goals. Being a student athlete has also helped me immensely with growing a network of friendships and assisting me with time management and prioritization. 

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
As I begin to think about what I would like to do after Mac, I remember how being a student-athlete has instilled a sense of resiliency and determination within me. These characteristics are important not only in terms of job searching, but how to survive “adulting.” Having gone through two major surgeries as an athlete here and still enduring a pandemic, I have learned lifelong skills and lessons that I will take with me post-Mac. While it is easy to quit in the face of adversity, what makes you stronger is how you react to challenges.
