How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?

My experience as a student-athlete at Macalester has prepared me for life after graduation in a multitude of ways. First, it has undoubtedly taught me about the importance of prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively and efficiently. In order to make it as an athlete at an academically rigorous institution such as Macalester, one has to learn how to make effective plans, find productive study spaces and then stay 100% focused in the moment whether its on the the golf course or in the classroom. As a student-athlete at Macalester, I have also realized how pivotal it is to surround yourself with people who support you and your goals. I hope to continue to surround myself with people who will provide support and motivation when I am faced with obstacles.
