Biography
Why I chose Mac: I chose Mac mostly because of its outstanding
academic reputation, but also because it is a small school in a big
city. I love having access to all the things that the Twin Cities has
to offer, but I also enjoy having such a close knit-community around
me. I also chose Macalester because of its emphasis on
internationalism and the great diversity on and around campus.
How Macalester Golf has shaped me as an individual:
When I chose to come to Macalester, I did not intend to join any varsity athletic team. But after two years of being on the golf team, I am glad that I made the decision to participate in collegiate sports. Golfing for Macalester has allowed me to develop friendships with my teammates, who have helped me become who I am. Participating in athletics has also taught me a sense of community and belonging; I like to think that I am a part of something bigger than just sports.
