Major(minors/cores): I am thinking about a Biology major and a Spanish minor, but I am only a freshman.
Athletic accomplishments: varsity XC for 4 years and 3 years in track, 2nd team All League a couple times.
What I like the most about Mac: The class sizes are small, wide international diversity, great soccer games, the cross-country team, the beautiful trees, and the cookies at Café Mac.
Academics at Mac: Are important, intriguing, and rigorous, but not impossible. OR Genetics/Cell Bio I, Spanish 204, The History of National Parks (geology), and Chemistry 111 - yep I guess I am a bit of a science nerd.
Favorite class at Mac: Genetics/Cell Biology I.
Off-campus study abroad (accomplished or planned): I want (really bad)/desperately need to study abroad in a country that primarily speaks Spanish. I would prefer Central or South America.
Hobbies: playing the flute, reading, drawing/doodling, knitting, hiking, camping, skiing, anything outdoors.
Favorite book: I simply can not decide, but the first book that came to mind after some thought was The Power of One...
Favorite movie: Again how can I decide?...The movies that I brought with me are Mulan, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Princess Bride, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Favorite song: hmmm I listen to a lot of Disney music...but I am going to go with Walking In Memphis on this one.
If I could travel anywhere? South America, Greece, Italy, or Africa
If I could run with anyone... Wilma Rudolph.
Post Macalester plans: POST Macalester plans?! That's hard, graduate school eventually, but maybe Teach America or Peace Corps before that....we'll see!
