2015: Abbott ran a season PR of 26:06 in the 6,000 meter at the UW-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invitational … She ran 22:01 in her first collegiate 5,000 meter race at the Luther College All-American

2016: Abbott ran a 5,000 meter PR of 21:24 at the St. Kate’s Invitational … She ran a season PR of 27:07 in the 6,000 meter at the UW-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invitational
 

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?

I chose to attend Macalester because of its cold weather and urban location.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?

I have enjoyed my time at Macalester so far because of the many interesting classes I have taken and the hardworking and funny teammates I get to run with.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?

It has forced me to manage my time well in order to maintain a healthy balance in my life.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?

During my time on the cross country team, I have built friendships with teammates who inspire and motivate me to do my best and I am confident that these friendships will last after graduation.
